The Davosa Ternos Ceramic Diver 16155550 is Maison's rendition of the quintessential divers watch, the one that every sports lover imagines curled around their wrist.
Its iconic, almost eternal design stems from the beginning of underwater exploration, virtually untouched for 70 years, and still today, it surprises us for its modern and stylish looks. This edition of the Ternos is a high-end Swiss-made diver watch that surprises the wearer for many other characteristics as well: it feels perfect when worn, snug, and solid, and it is impeccably finished, as all Davosa timepieces are from 1881 onwards.
The Davosa Ternos Ceramic Diver 16155550 offers every characteristic of the typical diver's watch, thanks to its sturdy stainless steel case and its industry-standard, precise DAV 3021 movement with date function. The unidirectional ceramic bezel with 120 clicks is perfectly aligned to the markers and perfectly tight on the watch.
The design and finishing of the case are technical, perfect for a tool watch like this diver's, but impeccably finished with contrasting polishes on the stainless steel carrure elements, which complement the bracelet. The black dial with very evident hands, applied indexes, and generous Superluminova coating is perfectly legible even in low light situations, and its readability stands out thanks to the sapphire crystal with cyclops lens, coated with a soft blue anti-reflective treatment.
It is a luxury watch with a perfect fit and grip at the wrist, thanks to the curved shape of the lugs that follow the profile and the intuitive micro-regulations, which render it easily wearable, while still having a nice and balanced wrist presence with its 40 mm size. The stainless steel bracelet, with its special three-segment President-style link design, makes it feel like you are wearing a glove and not a 200-gram watch that could accompany you through every challenge.
The Davosa Ternos Ceramic Diver 16155550 offers a water resistance of 200 meters, which is more than enough for every kind of aquatic activity, skin diving or amateur scuba diving, or other sports activities without any issue: it is a rugged high-end divers' watch. But we're sure you'll appreciate it even outside the water, like at the bar for a drink with your friends (and you'll get lots of compliments) or for an important meeting at your office downtown.
The DAV 3021 automatic movement is the Davosa rendition of one of watchmaking's most popular and successful modern movements, the Swiss-made family of ETA 2824 and its clone, the Sellita series 200. It is a precise, Swiss-made automatic movement beating at 28,800 BPH with 38 hours of power reserve.
The watch comes with a manufacturer's warranty of two years and is sent in a few days from your order, directly to your door via Express Courier. Straight from us, so you can save.
The Davosa Ternos Ceramic Diver 16155550 is a great-looking Swiss-made diver's watch that represents a perfect interpretation of the concept of the diver's watch, by staying close to its original roots and re-editing it by adding the subtle improvements offered by modern craftsmanship. It provides the qualities of an authentic high-end tool watch that you could rely on for every occasion, from the most formal to the most taxing. And it demonstrates the character of someone who understands what watches are worth and knows how to choose the most fitting timepiece for his needs.
Amazed super quick shipping / delivery of product from the manufacturer which allowed me to keep the excitement till delivery. The fantasy of the owning this timepiece became reality in just few days, considering it had some distance to travel. First impression of the watch... wow, amazing! After removing the protective films, every angle was a joy to see. Every component pleasure to touch. Superb brushed / polished finish over very well crafted base metal. Sapphire, crown, dials, bracelet, clasp.. Every component feels solidly put together but most importantly comfortable around the wrist. Keeps time quite accurately and presents clear legibility of all information on dial. Thank you for the amazing watch. Looking forward to go swimming someday with this fantastic watch.
The person I had the pleasure of doing business at Davosa was to the point on all maters concerning the purchased product, excellent shipping and ease of financial transaction. A personal note was addressed to Gill shortly after receiving the Ternos 40mm diver thanking him for his effort and time. In conclusion this retailer is a breath of fresh air in todays world with both excellent product and well above board customer service.
Received my Davosa Ternos 40mm diver a couple days ago. Wanted to wait a few days to review just to live with my new purchase. Firstly, the people I dealt with at Davosa (had an overseas Fed Ex issue) were friendly, courteous, and prompt...excellent customer service! The watch is outstanding in every detail. After four days, keeps time to the second. Absolutely fantastic band, a detail I was a little concerned about when ordering. I am so impressed I will be ordering another for my son-in-law. Really great job Davosa!
The watch arrived in a beautiful presentation box, nice touch. Every surface of the watch and band was wrapped in plastic film to protect against scratches, again a very nice touch. The watch truly exudes quality and craftsmanship. The AR saphire and ceramic bezel are more beautiful in person than I'd expected. The solid end links are brushed to perfection as is the rest of the band, and the fit between the lugs is wonderfully precise with no movement at all. The screwed links made sizing the band a breeze and the fit on my wrist is quite comfortable. I wear it everyday and if it gains or looses seconds per day, it is negligible, because it is absolutely spot on accurate with my cell phone time every time I compare the two. Showering with it everyday, doing dishes, washing hands and it is watertight so far. Once the weather permits, swimming and kayaking will give it a better test, but so far no issues. The time laps bezel is quite solid with no movement or play in it at all. That being said, it is very tight/stiff to rotate but I'm assuming that will ease up over time with use. I am extremely pleased with the purchase, and I anticipate a long relationship with the Ternos!
I'll only add more high praise. Superb piano black dial, momentary blue flash sapphire crystal, smooth second hand movement, solid construction. A friend who has a $10K submariner couldn't take his eyes off it.
